Determines the version of the sound input tools available on a machine.

A version number that contains the same information as in the first 4 bytes of a 'vers' resource or a NumVersion data type.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

You can call the SPBVersion function at interrupt time.

Supported in Carbon. Available in Carbon 1.0.2 and later when running Mac OS 8.1 or later.
